EIGHT magicians - ONE show
The 1920’s in the United States of America. Prohibition. A back room.
A door. A knock on the door. A code word. A bar. And what a bar!
Cool music is playing, people are laughing, the waiters are busily serving, and the alcohol is flowing. The bartenders are mixing cocktails, and the ‘lady of the house’ has everything firmly under her control. To entertain the guests, who are spread over 8 tables, she occasionally steps up to the microphone and sings. If she feels like it.
Long-forgotten creations and typical speakeasy drinks will thereby be brought back to life, where every single drink has a story to tell and harbours many a previously unknown secret. The lady of the house knows them all, and will whisper one or two stories and let guests in on the secrets of this mysterious world. And then, at her signal, the room lights dim and 8 magicians appear, apparently out of nowhere, to amaze the guests with sleight of hand tricks, close-up magic and mental magic directly at their tables.
EIGHT magicians, TWO hours full of illusions and amazement. Up close – without a safety net or smoke and mirrors. After the magicians show the evening then culminates in a hot jazz concert and cool drinks.
Lively, animated and in a good mood, the guests are then released into the night, enthused with the beguiling glamour of the 1920s. The audience thereby experiences an evening embedded in music, song and drinks, in which they are whisked away into the world of the 1920s and can linger in the (recreated) “Speakeasy Bar”. They thereby don’t experience a conventional theatre performance, but an evening-long experience.
Step back in time and be immersed in a strange, long-forgotten world for an evening. As a visitor you are also free to dress up and transform yourself into a character from the 1920’s if you feel like.
Doors open at 7.30 p.m.
